Welcome to Rabat. On behalf of the Moroccan Association for Medical Physics, it is our honor and pleasure to announce you the First AAPM-ISEP/FAMPO Diagnostic Imaging Symposium to take place from 26 to 29 March 2016 in Rabat, Morocco. This Symposium is organized in collaboration with the International Scientific Exchange Program (ISEP) of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) under the sponsorship and endorsement of the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP) as well as the support of the Federation of African Medical Physics Organizations (FAMPO). In tandem with this event, the International Atomic Energy Agency is organizing the RAF6048 Second Project Coordination Meeting. The aim of this combined event is to enhance knowledge of African professionals in the diagnostic imaging field and to review the progress of RAF6048 and update the project work plan.
We have planned a comprehensive scientific program with distinguished speakers who will provide the attendants with an update on the basis and
the state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging techniques.
This workshop will communicate cutting edge imaging physics to Medical Physicists, Physicians and allied professionals (Radiologists, Biomedical engineers, Radiation Technologists, Dosimetrists). The organizing committee has prepared a stimulating scientific program for the course. Sessions will cover a variety of topics on Image Formation, Digital Imaging, Image Quality, Flat panel Detectors, MDCT, Digital Mammography, MRI, SPECT, PET-CT, Radiation Dose, Radiation Safety, etc.
We are confident that the course will be a platform for exchanging and sharing ideas of the most recent developments in the Physics of Diagnostic Radiology and that it will have a great impact to your knowledge. Attendance from african countries is highly encouraged.
A great scientific program, many sights and attractions and, of course, Rabatís reputation for food and the Moroccan cuisine which
is extremely refined awaits all friends and guests attending the workshop.
We look forward to personally welcoming you to Rabat.
